A growing automotive manufacturer in Morristown, TN is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the tool room department. All candidates must have at least 3 years' experience in tooling and leadership. This is a Direct Hire position with full benefits available! Responsibilities
Responsible for the supervision and training of Team Members assigned to the designated area
Maintain the tooling inventory tracking system for consumable tooling, tool holders and components in order to meet production requirements.
Prepare tooling forecast, inventory and other reports.
Enter new tooling into inventory tracking system.
Process tooling orders, including vendor quotes, and purchase requisition.
Track tool usage, order status and receipt of tooling.
Track tooling issues and analyze the data.
Investigate, report and resolve tooling/spare tooling inventory issues.
Review daily tooling reports and act upon potential issues.
Create, revise, remove and control tooling Kanban.
Improve tooling Kanban system utilizing simulations, calculations and/or adjustments.
Prepare tool usage simulations for new project tooling and adjust production volume.
Receive tooling list for new projects and provide support preparation for start of production (SOP)
