Description/Job Summary

Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs for all production, facility and utility equipment. Seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and dedicated individual. The job is Monday-Friday and some overtime may be required. Complies with all safety rules and procedures. Maintains and completes all required records. Individual must be available to work overtime as needed. Performs other duties as required, or assigned by Supervisor.

Skills/Prerequisites:

High School Diploma/GED

Vocational education certificate or Journeyman Millwright desirable

Minimum 10 years experience as a journeyman level maintenance technician/millwright

Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Ability to gas and arc weld and use a cutting torch

Welding, cutting, machining, and millwright duties required

Understanding pneumatic-hydraulic schematics and P & ID

Blue print reading and understanding of spare parts and technical documentation is essential

Basic skills in electrical controls and functions are required

Previous industrial maintenance experience in BOPP operations preferred

Duties/Responsibilities:

Comply with all written and verbal safety rules using personal protective equipment as required by department and plant safety programs.

Complete with all general plant rules on conduct and attendance.

Follow directions of Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or designated Shift Supervisor.

Identify and correct, in a timely manner, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic problems in all areas of the plant including production equipment, material handling, etc.

Provide timely preventive maintenance support coordinating with production personnel.

Maintain and complete all necessary forms, files and paperwork associated with the PM and work order programs.

Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned and work areas.

Available for overtime, call-ins, and rotating schedules.

Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities/Duties

Assists in directing daily activities for technicians.

Fill in for Supervisor (when absent) and also performs work in Maintenance as a Technician.

Other duties as assigned.
