Join an organization that demonstrates a proactive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System and a continuous improvement environment. You will be a key professional in the HSE function. You will implement processes and drive HSE performance metrics for Honeywell Building Solutions, Americas, for both Service and Install businesses. You will accomplish this by establishing strong working relationships with the employees you support. You will report directly to the Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) Sr HSE Manager for the Energy Region. You will be a key HSE resource within the region, directing sustainable Health, Safety and Environmental programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and support Lean HBS Americas Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with the applicable guidelines, procedures, customer requirements and regulations.

  • Supporting the deployment of the Honeywell HSE Management System in Honeywell service and installation operations at customer sites.

  • Regularly engage with the business operations to resolve HSE concerns.

  • Develop and support continuous improvement activities within HSE and the business.

  • Provide proactive integration of HSE initiatives across the Americas, including identifying and implementing industry leading practices.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on upcoming governmental regulations and industry best practices.

  • Administer audits & inspections.

  • Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses.

  • Provide HSE training, as needed.

  • Travel to customer locations to provide on-site HSE support (estimated 25%).

  • Interact with Government and customer representatives, notably the Corps of Engineers environmental health and safety staff.

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

    Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in health & safety, environmental management, engineering (environmental, safety), or project management.

  • 5+ years of HSE experience.

  • Integrity, honesty, professional and ethical conduct.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • HSE program development and implementation experience.

  • Innovative thinking and a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Track record of success working independently to drive key initiatives.

  • Experience within construction, service and/or field related businesses.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • The ability to manage frequent change.

  • Excellent skills in risk identification and assessment.

  • Ability to use Six Sigma tools and other data analytics tools to evaluate program implementation.

  • Excellent skills in problem-solving.

  • Ability to navigate complex situations.

    WE VALUE

  • Experience in Project Management (i.e managing site installation projects)

  • Experience with enterprise risk management terminology and methods.

  • Experience with MS Office.

  • Experience with developing or using digital tools.

  • Master’s degree and/or Environmental, Health & Safety certification.

  • Experience working on Federal sites.

  • Experience with the US Corps of Engineers EM385 requirements.
