Bonanza Bean, LLC Farmworkers/Laborers: Crop in Morris, Minnesota

Need 6 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Crop Laborers to work in Morris, MN. From: 07/01/2024 - 12/15/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Employer will pay overtime rate after 40 hours. Bonus may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Must Apply By: 09/23/2024 JOB DUTIES: Farm work consisting with edible bean harvest by emptying trucks, monitoring all dumping operations; Helping in general harvest operations by assisting with the operation of the grain dryer for getting crops to correct moisture content, take samples of loads; monitoring and ensuring that no classes/varieties get mixed; empty dirt bins and clean the inside before refiling; workers must know basic operation of forklifts to clean up worksite; daily repairs and maintenance to harvesting equipment and machinery. Employer may pay workers more depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as job performance, skill, and punctuality. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather, crops, or need. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Employer will pay OT rate after 40 hours. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience. Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements and able to lift up to 75 lbs. Drug screen post-hire at the employer's expense. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
