Southwestern Energy Field Production Intern - Morgantown, WV Summer 2024 in Morgantown, West Virginia

Essential Duties

The Production Operations Intern will collaborate with various groups and field personnel within the division. Specific areas of responsibility will vary depending upon the particular job assignment, but general responsibilities may include:

  • Perform daily check of assigned wells and production locations

  • Keep daily records of gas and water produced volumes, pressures and maintenance performed on wells

  • Record and submit various well data in applicable programs

  • Gain firm understanding of general production operations and process flow

  • Understanding general equipment and functions

  • Rotation throughout various field groups (e.g. maintenance, measurement, I&E, facilities, artificial lift, production operations, etc.)

  • Working with engineering and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production underperformance

  • Contribute to value adding projects to optimize operations

  • General roustabout work

  • Gain exposure to field operations

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Some production experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to learn

  • Encompasses the understanding and development of Southwestern Energy corporate goals and fully embodies “The Right People Doing the Right Things” at all times by behaving accordingly

  • Occasionally lift/carry weights to 50 lbs

  • Occasionally push/pull weights to 50 lbs

  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills
