Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Morgan Hill, California

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Morgan Hill, California. The successful candidate will oversee all accounting functions, assist the Controller with cost studies and budget preparation, and manage the accounting staff. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll (PR), and Reporting.

• Assist the Controller with cost studies, budget preparation, and special projects.

• Supervise and train the accounting staff, ensuring they are equipped to accurately process financial transactions.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a timely basis and analyze account fluctuations for unusual transactions.

• Lead the accounting month-end financial close and produce related reports.

• Monitor inventory-related activities and conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure inventory valuation is properly stated.

• Provide financial analysis support for management, including cost analysis for new product lines, margin analysis for products and customers, and other necessary analysis as requested by management.

• Manage customer credit, collection, and rebate programs.

• Maintain capital accounts, files, and reporting.

• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget.

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven track record in Auditing

• Proficient in Billing Functions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field highly desired

• Proven managerial or supervisory experience in an accounting role

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
