Responsibilities:

  • Escort customers to their tables
  • Inform customers of daily specials
  • Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request
  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
  • Cleaning, sweeping and mopping
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Must have proper certifications (food handling permit, etc) in order to perform duties.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
  • Must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime as requested
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, lift, reach, and climb stairs and ladders as needed throughout shift as this is a very physically active role
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must possess and display strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and practice independent judgment
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors
  • Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Must be able to pass Reference Check, Background Check and Drug Screen
