Residential Services of Northeastern Minnesota, Inc. Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Mora, Minnesota

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be at least 21 years of age to work in Corporate Child Foster Care programs Valid driver s license with no restriction and driving record that meets RSI s insurability standards must be maintained. In-home positions require access to a vehicle in good operating condition and proof of vehicle insurance Qualified status under Minnesota Rule 11 must be maintained (Criminal background studies of individual affiliated with programs licensed by DHS) Free from communicable diseases Ability to become certified to administer medications to people supported by RSI within three months and to maintain that certification as a condition of continued employment Must pass and maintain CPR and First Aid competency and be able to provide CPR and First Aid as necessary Completion of initial training requirement within 3 months for direct service staff and continued training as outlined in RSI staff training policy Ability to read and write printed English at a minimum 7th-grade reading level Possess basic English language, writing, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, sit, walk up and down stairs and run short distances. Ability to assist people with physical activities which may include lifting and transferring 25-100 pounds with person supported or staff assistance, pushing/pulling 25-100 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, carrying objects, twisting/turning, manual dexterity, and operating assistive equipment Must be at least 21 years of age for those positions that require the need to drive a 15 passenger van
