DT Professional Services Proposal Manager in Moorpark, California

Job Summary:

DT Professional Services is seeking a candidate to join our dynamic Business Development team as a Proposal Manager, who will be responsible for low to mid level complexity information technology professional services proposals to the federal government/DoD. This position interfaces with assigned business units or functional areas, leveraging their experience to ease the development of information to support proposal submission. The Proposal Manager supports the creation and preparation of company proposals, ensuring timeliness and accuracy to RFI/RFQ/RFP/Solicitation instructions. Their responsibilities revolve around producing proposal documentation, following up on tasks to various departments, and processing all assigned actions. 

The candidate must be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable supporting multiple/simultaneous proposal development assignments, deliver measurable results on a daily basis, and be able to work independently in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT focused proposal content plan development efforts based on APMP and/or Shipley best practices

  • Support the proposal development processes

  • Create, edit, and analyze relevant information to support proposal efforts

  • Develop drafts and edit final supporting documentation to support proposal efforts

  • Complete action items and tasks assigned by a capture managers, other proposal managers and executives

  • Work with proposal writers, executives, and leadership to support proposal efforts

    Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years direct experience working in a team environment supporting the development of shared deliverables

  • 2+ years experience in DoD contracting, DoD IT Services, and/or DoD solicitation response

  • 2+ years of proposal writing experience supporting IT services, software development, and IT management for federal solicitations/RFPs

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

  • Experience leading proposal teams with 2 or more company partners

  • Working experience in compliance matrix creation and compliance checks

  • 2+ years experience writing best practices and tools

  • 5+ years experience with online collaborative and production platforms such as Google (Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office/Office 365, and Adobe

  • Team player

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines

  • Must be able to attend department level and proposal-specific daily standup meetings (times generally vary between 8am and 5pm Eastern or Pacific – depending on your local time zone)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years monitoring and interpreting industry statistics and trade literature

  • 1+ years conducting competitive analysis, gathering competitive intelligence

    The compensation for this position: $110,000 to $125,000 annually
