Description:

• Responsible for process improvements at the assembly line. • Make the assembly process simpler by changing the layout of the line and station forwards, single piece flow. • Implement lean-manufacturing techniques; 5S, Pull System with Kanban cards and maintain two-bin system in the staging area and assembly line. • Reduce inventory and apply good housekeeping techniques. • Perform bill of material and cycle time audits related to assembly cells • Support the assembly line. Attend to issues in the assembly line and assure that the operation goes on without any hindrance. Continuous flow of the assembly process. • Design jigs and fixture for the assembly line. • Design simple jigs and fixtures for the assembly line to make the process simpler. • Make the process more simple and ergonomic • Provide guidance to cell leads in process improvements and issues with the line. • Provide guidance to operators for process improvements. • Receive guidance from Production Manager on projects. • Attend and lead Kaizen events. • Support production by providing fixturing and tooling, conducting time studies, ensuring all safety and process supplies are available when needed and troubleshooting quality and process issues. • Lead PFMA efforts and participate on DFMEA and control plans for new and existing products. • Identify process improvements through automation to help free up labor capacity • Perform ergonomic assessments. and drive department safety improvements through the implementation of ergo tools, jigs, automation etc. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical. • Have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supporting both processes and procedures. • Have experience in handling multiple projects and utilizing resources to drive bottom line results. • Be able to effectively communicate with all areas of the business in both verbal and written format. • Be proficient in English, required.
