Your Impact

The Demand Planning Manager is primarily responsible for managing and coaching a team of demand planners supporting all business areas. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee all the activities related to maintaining an unconstrained short-term and long-term demand forecast to support replenishment of retail stores, eCommerce channel and distribution centers. This role is responsible for achieving desired forecast accuracy metrics, supporting sales and profit goals while achieving inventory productivity and in-stock goals. The role will ensure that the demand team is managing system forecast as well as forecast adjustments to account for market conditions, promotions, pricing, and other events that impact demand. This includes collaborating with various internal teams from Inventory Planning, Replenishment Planning, Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, Pricing, Promotions etc. as well as external partners like Vendors, market analysts etc. The role will also act as the subject matter expert towards implementing best in class demand planning processes and systems

What you will do

  • Manages and supervises the team of demand planners supporting all divisions and business areas.

  • Sets demand planning strategy and vision for the Business Areas.

  • Serves as Owner of the operational sales forecast for all Business Areas.

  • Partners with GMM and MVPs to drive alignment between operational and financial forecasts for Business Area.

  • Serve as key point of contact between demand and supply planning functions.

  • Supports forecasting for projects and new product introduction initiatives; Collaborate with the technology team and support teams to develop future demand planning functionality.

  • Develops and implements demand planning and sales forecasting processes, data collection and reporting, tracking and reporting of KPI’s.

  • Contributes to future development of Sales and Operations Planning process.

  • Drives weekly and monthly demand review meetings with recommended changes to forecast.

  • Makes demand planning corrective actions and improvements using demand planning methodology and trend/variance root cause analysis.

  • Sets and monitors forecast accuracy targets for demand planning team.

  • Coaches and mentors the demand planning team and develop talent within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business or Related Field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)

  • 6 Years Experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning or Inventory Management

  • 4 Years Experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Business or Related Field and 3 Years Relevant work experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning or supply chain analytics. Experience with a demand planning system like Blue Yonder, RELEX, Kinaxis, Oracle, SAP etc.

  • Experience with AI/ML use cases in Demand Planning
