Role: Loss Prevention Agent

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY STATEMENT INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (position titles directly reporting to this position):

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, and others. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.

Essential functions include, but not limited to:

  • Secures all Distribution Center premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points. Support with building, and premisses walk-throughs
  • May assigns tasks and supervises the work activities of subordinates
  • Supports the Safety Department with New Hire Orientation and Building Tours as needed
  • May support, prepare and distributes work schedules for the loss prevention team.
  • Engages with all loss prevention team members, security personnel, operations leadership team and demonstrates a positive experience towards all personnel.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Serves ands supports as a lisasion for emergency personnel including, but not limited to police, fire, hazard, poison control, among other local, state and federal agencies
  • Respond to alarm company off hours calls and may cover additional work schedule shifts as needed

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year security experience required
  • Knowledge of security procedures for a distribution center environment or equivalent
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment, able to work in different weather elements
  • Able to sit/lift/bend/walk repeadetley
  • Ability to work effectively under a fast pace conditions
  • Exercise diplomacy when dealing with people in sensitive situations
  • Apply active listening techniques in order to obtain complete and accurate information
  • Apply the principles of supervision to direct the work activities of subordinates
  • Rapidly prioritize a variety of tasks and take appropriate action
  • Ability to apply first responder techniques in performing emergency first aid and CPR

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Must be willing to cross-train outside of your immediate department.

Demonstrate high levels of dependability.

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Forklift Certification required
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
