VectorCSP Systems Engineer (AEGIS TECHREP) in Moorestown, New Jersey

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer provides support to US Navy AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) in providing Baseline 9 support to the US Coast Guard (USCG) support of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) managed Navy Type/Navy Owned (NT/NO) weapons, radars, decoys, optical systems, and Electronic Warfare Support Measures (ESM) Systems installed aboard in-service USCG Cutters.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of five years' experience.

    Essential Duties:

  • Perform system integration and test in support of the AEGIS TECHREP's mission to validate total ship combat system design through engineering development, testing, and evaluation.

  • Support integration and testing of the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) combat systems equipment and computer programs and evaluate operational suitability.

  • Provide technical support for the review and evaluation of Problem Reports (PRs) and Software Change Requests (SWCRs).

  • Evaluate PRs for system impact, safety, priority/probability, acceptable workarounds, and baseline applicability of reported computer program anomalies for implementation in the Baseline in accordance with AEGIS TECHREP Instructions.

  • Conduct test planning meetings; select A-spec/B5 requirements; generate and review test procedures; develop data recording plans; conduct an independent assessment; document and track all observed anomalies; and adjudicate Test Observation Reports (TORs)/PRs generated during the test.

  • Verify specification requirements were met via digital data analysis, provide written assessment (Quicklook/Final Reports), and manage the Test and Evaluation Requirements Management System (TERMS) database repository for Navy system level test requirements.

  • Participate in supplemental Functional Readiness Assessment Testing (FRAT) to reduce risk of undiscovered defects.

  • Produce and execute procedure, data analysis, PR tracking, requirement evaluation, and written assessment in accordance with AEGIS TECHREP Instructions.

  • Participate in embedded Multi-Element Integration and Test (MEIT) support to provide oversight of element and system level MEIT activities including Stability characterizations, SWCR Validation and Verification, Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs), Human-System Interface (HSI) Assessments, Recovery and Re-configuration.

  • Collect additional test data and conduct data analysis to provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) in support of Mission Readiness Assessments (MRAs), at-sea events, and certification.

  • Establish and maintain the unclassified Baseline requirement database in TERMS.

  • Deliver weekly and monthly technical and financial reports.

  • Deliver technical assessments as required.

    Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • US Navy Aegis Weapon System integration and test experience.

  • Department of Defense acquisition and/or engineering experience preferred.

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project is required.

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Motivated, resourceful, and self-reliant.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
