The Work

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs in the Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors business.

The candidate will be expected to:

• Support the electrical design sustainment of the MK41 Vertical Launching System and new and exciting designs of the next generation of launcher and weapon systems across various platforms.

• Apply emerging technical expertise in electrical engineering and electronics and have applicable knowledge of other related disciplines.

• Support the successful design and may function in a

project leadership role to achieve major organizational objectives.

• May represent the organization as a technical contact on contracts and projects while coordinating with more senior internal or external personnel on significant technical matters.

• Conduct or participate in the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical components, sub-systems and systems.

• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical engineering principles, successful experience working in a team environment, and general knowledge of other related disciplines.

• Specific tasking will include but not limited to overall design of launcher electrical systems, including the selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components, custom hardware design, and setting requirements for chassis/enclosure design.

• Help develop, direct, and coordinate technical documentation such as initial design specifications, schematics, assembly drawings and parts list as well as preparing test procedures and reports to ensure customer and company requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline combined with 5+ years professional experience.

- Experience with or ability to lead Electrical Engineering teams.

- Experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

• Electrical System Development

• Complex Cable Design

• Printed Wiring Board (PWB) and Circuit Card Assembly Design

• Electrical Bonding and Grounding of Electronics

• FPGA Selection/Programming

- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level

Desired Skills:

- An Advanced Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely related technical field.

- Working experience within a lab environment,

demonstrated use of variety of test equipment and computer applications.

- Expertise with one or more electrical engineering oriented programs such as Zuken, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Pspice, HFSS, etc.

- Experience with DOD programs and military engineering standards/requirements.

- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills with prior experience with customer interaction and customer/leadership briefings.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
