The position is for a Logistician familiar with US Navy ship spare parts inventory. 

Job Location: Carderock Division, Naval Sea Systems Command, Philadelphia (NAVSSES)

Job Start Date: 7/1/2013

Shift: Days - 8 hours flexible to 40 hours per week

Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree and five or more years of Navy experience in Supply Corps or equivalent logistics activities. Eligible for Secret level security clearance - prior clearance preferred.

Description of Duties:
Provide engineering, technical, and logistics support in support of fleet maintenance philosophies to identify and resolve material condition discrepancies; resolve obsolescence issues and logistics discrepancies; resolve high visibility parts availability and long lead time material issues; provide Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) tracking support and provide support for the update and maintenance of configuration data for upload to the Weapons System File. These services are required in support of the construction, overhaul, modernization, and repair of shipboard hull, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as life- cycle maintenance of other U.S. Navy systems and associated life-cycle logistics support documentation. The successful candidate will develop, review, update, and maintain complete supply support documentation; and shall be responsible for analyzing various forms of Technical Data Packages (TDP) / Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), maintenance plans, engineering drawings, reliability data, level of repair, and scheduled maintenance data in support of the supply support / provisioning process preference. The person will identify spare parts (e.g. OBRP, INCO and Depot) requirements, perform inventory management and determine lead times.
