Hyatt is seeking a detailed-oriented, energetic, and experienced professional leader for our Event Billing team. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations for a team of analysts that process payments and handle billing for Hyatt event business. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-based environment with high expectations for accuracy and timeliness. You will collaborate and work closely with other Event Billing teams, supervisors, on-site hotel teams, and other leaders in the Shared Service Center to deliver exceptional support throughout the billing lifecycle. Also, you will work with the Shared Services leadership team to define and drive the overall strategy and vision for your department and team. This is a hybrid position and regular attendance in the office in the Shared Service Center is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Managethe daily operations of a partially or fully remote Event Billing team to deliver timely and accurate support for multiple hotels’ group event payments, billing, and other related activities.

  • Holdsteam accountable to defined standards for response times, accuracy, professionalism, and appropriate solutions for all transactions.

  • Consistentlyaudits transaction and communication quality of all assigned team members to ensure performance expectations are met.

  • Developand maintain team and individual performance plans for assigned team members. Initiates disciplinary action as needed.

  • Collaboratewith Event Billing leadership team to develop and deliver compelling and educational content for routine virtual team meetings, ongoing training, and other virtual events.

  • Reviewand communicate information from various reports and other sources to understand and assess team and other key performance indicators.

  • Managescheduling and time off requests to ensure appropriate coverage at all times for defined support area.

  • Manageproductive and positive relationships with hotel teams to support their requests and maintain an effective overall group business billing process.

  • Workclosely with Event Billing leadership team, hotel teams, and Hyatt corporate events teams to develop and support cost-saving and service enhancements strategies throughout the department and other parts of the organization.

  • Participatein the hiring and interview process by conducting interviews and making recommendations for new hires, promotions, and other changes for external and internal candidates.

  • Evaluateindividual and team performance via monthly performance review meetings, bi-annual check in conversations, and other methods as needed.

  • Observeand contribute to new hire and ongoing training as needed.

  • Partnerwith Hyatt IT and other teams to ensure HSSC Event Billing colleagues have all necessary tools and technology to provide exceptional service and support throughout the event billing lifecycle.

  • Handleescalated, and/or complex customer or hotel requests as needed.

  • Regularattendance is expected based on schedule and business needs.

  • Participationin employee events, onsite meetings, and hotel visits is expected

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to deliver effective presentations virtually and in-person.

  • High level of attention to detail with very strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Technical proficiency with multiple technology platforms, including ability to quickly and effectively learn and integrate new applications into workflows.

  • Experience in providing effective coaching, mentorship, and career development to colleagues.

  • Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience.

  • 1 year accounting / finance experience.

  • Hands-on experience with hotel applications a plus.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job:

  • Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite required.

  • Hands-on experience with Opera and Sertifi is a plus.
