Eaton Corporation Software Product Manager in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton is hiring a Software Product Manager for our Protection, Controls and Solutions (PCS) business, which is headquartered at Pittsburgh, PA. Our PCS digital solutions are focused on drastically improving productivity and energy efficiency of power distribution and industrial control systems while increasing the safety of personnel at the same time. You will have end-to-end ownership (vision to revenue) of PCS digital solutions targeted for Industrial customers and will have high visibility to our senior leadership. This role can be remote or hybrid.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $101,250 - $154,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and own vision and strategy for PCS Digital solutions targeting Industrial customers (manufacturing facilities and buildings)

  • Grow software revenues over time by cross-functionally leading product and solution development activities, coordinating with channel partners and sales, & enabling training & educational programs.

  • Identify market opportunities, gather VOC, build compelling value propositions and business cases to tap into those opportunities

  • Develop software roadmaps, user specifications and customer use cases. Create strong alignment in the solutions’ capabilities by charting the right path working between solution architects and system application engineers.

  • Identify and develop strategic partner/customer relationships required for software subsystems to develop tools to integrate our products into larger systems.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers and sales personnel, securing business consistent with product line initiatives.

  • Collaborate with our integration teams, application engineers, and services teams to improve software interactions with Intelligent Circuit Protection, Automation, and controls systems.

  • Prepare product literature (printed and electronic), marketing videos and communications content with the Marketing team to include features, benefits, competitive and performance data and monitor these areas as part of product life cycle management.

  • Provide critical input in the development and implementation of strategic plan and annual profit plan

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • At least 5 years’ experience in product management or product marketing/sales

  • At least 3 years’ experience in pure Software product management and/or marketing/sales roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering

  • MBA

  • Familiarity with cloud and AI technologies

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Cybersecurity certifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates residing near Pittsburgh, PA, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Raleigh, NC

  • Track record of developing and launching Industry 4.0 solutions would be highly valued

  • Prior experience in APM or BMS or CMMS or similar enterprise-level software is a plus

  • Electrical infrastructure knowledge and prior industry work would be highly beneficial
