    About The Career:

  • Assesses plans and develops and or coordinates education and training programs for Hospital employees. May serve as primary instructor or arranges for course instructors. Training and education programs include but are not limited to: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and FHM. Assesses plans and develops and or coordinates education and training programs for the community. May serve as primary instructor or arranges for course instructors. Training and education programs include but are not limited to: CPR, First Aid, Medicine Administration, Universal Precautions, Mini -Med School and community Physician talks. Coordinates, plans and develops the Annual Update which includes information on staff competencies and patient safety. Plans and develops the annual OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen training. Schedules and provides training to required Hospital department staff as indicated. Coordinates and develops program content for nursing orientation. Assists with the presentation of Clinical Orientation. Serves as a resource to Directors for competency assessment and training programs, and other department specific education and training needs. Assists with content and program development and design. Develops a variety of communication methods to disseminate educational course information, i.e. brochures, flyers, calendars, and presentations. Maintains supporting documentation i.e. attendance..

    All About You :

    · Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, with a current Colorado RN license. BSN or a BS in the Healthcare Field preferred, but not required.

    · Training & Experience: A minimum of 5 years work experience in direct patient care. Three or more years assessing, designing, instructing and evaluating educational programs for adult learners in a hospital setting. Proficient writing and communication skills. AHA BLS required on hire. AHA BLS instructor required within three months of hire. AHA Training Center Faculty preferred or status recommended within 12 months of hire. State approved instructor for the Medication Administration course for daycare providers or becomes approved within 6 months of hire. Management experience is helpful, but not required.

    · Job Knowledge: Excellent communication skills required with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage several projects in the same timeframe. Must possess basic computer skills with knowledge of Powerpoint, Publisher, Word, and Excel software
