Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Software Development Manager to join our product platform engineering team. As a charismatic leader, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation within the team while aligning efforts towards common goals. The ideal candidate will enthusiastically take on new challenges, immerse themselves in the latest technologies, and lead our transformation towards a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution. You will play a key role in preparing our solutions for our next generation of products, with a specific focus on automating infrastructure configuration (Infrastructure as Code), solutions based on virtualization, networking, and associated tools.

The Software Development Manager will be tasked with guiding the team in the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions while ensuring operational efficiency. By closely collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will actively contribute to defining the technological roadmap, ensuring that our products remain at the forefront of the industry. Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be supporting a software development team. As a Software Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being passionate about innovation and the use of new technologies to meet business needs.

  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset to actively identify, seize, and promote opportunities in collaboration with business units, uncovering new business perspectives.

  • Guiding one of the top-tier software development teams committed to exceeding customer needs.

  • Working closely with our regional teams and collaboratively evolving shared modules of our platform, while maximizing the benefits of virtualization, automation, and DevOps best practices.

  • Developing and delivering software solutions while considering budget and timelines.

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinating with partners on jointly developed projects.

  • Leading and guiding team members, providing continuous support during critical phases of a project or program, including regular feedback and mentoring.

  • Supporting work planning and the Agile methodology implemented within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related engineering, computer science, applied sciences discipline.

  • Experience in managing a software development team.

  • Perseverance and results-oriented: pursue business goals with energy and motivation.

  • Solid understanding of best practices and trends in software development and knowledge related to Agile product development.

  • Motivated by innovation and keeping abreast of the latest technological developments.

  • Strong communication skills in both French and English.

  • Customer-centric approach: strive to meet or exceed the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues.

  • Effective team building: promote good morale within the team, communicate successes, and encourage open dialogue.

  • Ability to take risks and show initiative.

  • Ability to develop solid plans and execute them while adhering to budget, timeline, and content requirements.

  • Courage in management decision-making; ability to make tough calls.
