Intermodal Logistics Coordinator Job Description and Requirements:

Overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency. This is a collaborative team environment. You are responsible for the overall customer and carrier experience and have responsibility for all duties listed below:

Responsibilities:

  • Managing your accounts from all aspects, and quoting / booking spot shipments (Booking loads, Customer service, track-trace and closing orders)

  • Ensure the highest level of customer experience is provided.

  • Responsible for margin improvement through various methods

  • Compliancy with customer volume expectations (When volumes fall short investigate why and advise management)

  • Responding quickly to spot quotes and customer requests.

  • Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues.

  • Follow up on delivery delays or security issues.

  • Ensure that all audit requirements are completed and scanned in our TMS, prior to dispatching the load.

  • Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS system within 24 hours of delivery

  • Ensuring that all PODs on the missing POD list (sent daily) are collected from carriers within 48hrs of receiving the email.

  • Responsible for obtaining any extra charges approval from the customer within 48hrs of occurrence, and scan approvals into TMS.

  • Ensure that ETAs are properly communicated to customers or receivers in order to book delivery appointments before storage is incurred (you must always make sure that client are aware of when the storage starts and make sure to collect storage fees if applicable, the same will apply for containers that are dropped for pickup or delivery, and accessorial charges showing on emails must also be scanned into TMS)

  • Ensure carriers are qualified in our TMS and RMIS

  • Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships.

  • Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail (local system “TMS” always updated on time along with the CP portal)

  • Making sure that all information is properly communicated to all your peers to ensure coverage is always present (e.g.: during sick days or vacations)

  • Additional duties as required

  • Must be Bilingual
