Joining National Bank's Insurance sector means being part of an authentic, dynamic and committed team. As Training Manager, you'll act as a leader in your field of expertise and contribute to deploying talent and developing competencies. You'll also develop innovative training practices that will boost the sector's performance.

Your role

  • Manage the training team

  • Oversee the training component of large-scale projects while demonstrating expertise in project management

  • Analyze training needs and strategies to roll out simple, innovative solutions tailored to the needs of projects with a positive ROI

  • Design learning solutions, tools and training

  • Act as governor of learning principles through various activities (validating strategies, reviewing documents, market watch)

  • Act as an ambassador for Axonify and design questions for the branch network, the residential financing sector and the call centre

As Training Manager, you will support and develop our team of two trainers via personalized coaching. You'll coordinate the training activities needed to implement initiatives from start to finish. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a powerful ecosystem that supports the learning principles and strategies identified.

This position reports to the Vice-President, Sales and Distribution.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience OR university certificate/undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 6 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in training, analyzing learning needs, defining learning strategies and designing learning solutions

  • Project management experience

  • Knowledge of the banking and insurance industry, an asset

  • Knowledge of call centres, an asset

  • Ability to develop and coach a team of trainers

  • Ability to adapt to volatile projects and manage multiple projects at once

  • Excellent written communication skills (grammar, syntax, writing)

  • Knowledge and mastery of the Axonify methodology, an asset

  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
