National Institutes of Health Materials Handler in Montgomery County, Maryland
Summary The incumbent serves as the Materials Handler at the NIH Clinical Center's offsite warehouse location. The materials that the incumbent's staff handles are predominantly medical and surgical supplies. Some of these supplies require specialized storage such as temperature and humidity sensitive storage. Responsibilities Overseeing an assigned segment of the warehouse. On own initiative, consolidates materials and provides maximum space utilization and protection of materials for assigned segment. Operating large material handling equipment (MHE) items including cargo trucks, motorized pallet jacks, order pickers, and forklifts. Responsible for incoming and outcoming shipments and placement of materials with the docking area in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements and space allocations.
