Responsibilities

  • What you'll do

  • Responsible to the assigned supervisor. Performs work as safely and efficiently as possible. Works with other craftsman or crews providing broad guidance in the completion of assigned work duties. Coordinates work/inspections with facility managers/occupants. Must be able to troubleshoot and identify problems. Research and requisitions materials, and prepares necessary documents and reports. Makes necessary repairs and modifications to electrical components and systems for compliance with specifications. Responds to emergency repair calls to restore operations upon notice during regular hours or after duty on-call hours.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Follows oral or written instructions from the Facility Systems

  • Interprets engineering drawings, plans and electrical control

  • Performs preventative maintenance on

  • Assists with material requisition for electrical components.

  • Maintains, repairs, replaces and installs electrical components to include, but not limited to, switches, fixtures, motors, transformers, controllers, and other associated components.

  • Maintains distribution and wiring systems.

  • Troubleshoots issues on commercial and residential appliances and

  • Observes all safety programs and safety practices.

  • Accomplishes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements and associated documentation. Maintains systems to conform to written guidance and applicable changes.

  • Maintains cathodic protection, communications, and grounding

  • Maintains a safe and clean work

  • Performs work, promotes teamwork, and communicates in conjunction with our culture and corporate

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

  • Education/Certifications:

  • High School diploma required.

  • College degreed preferred but not required.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' as a Certified Electrician.

  • Certifications:

  • Must have a State of Alabama Electrical contractor or Master license.

  • Knowledge/ Skills:

  • Knowledge of maintenance, materials, departmental organizational structure, policies, rules, and procedures.

  • Incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of English comprehension, including speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and typing.

  • Must be detailed oriented and organized.

  • Must have computer system administrative experience, should have experience in procedural development Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).as well.
