Role Overview:

As a Regional Diagnostics Sales Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing the regional diagnostics sales plan in collaboration with the Diagnostics Sales Manager and Matco Regional Managers. You will also work with Matco's distributor network to conduct key selling events along with the District Managers to develop and close diagnostic sales opportunities.

What You’ll Do :

  • Forge Strong Relationships:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain robust business relationships with Matco Distributors, District Managers, and potential end-users.

  • Cultivate trust and rapport to drive long-term partnerships.

  • Lead the Sales Charge:

  • Collaborate with District Managers and Distributors to generate, qualify, and close leads.

  • Be the driving force behind our diagnostic product sales.

  • Dynamic Presentations:

  • Schedule, prepare, and deliver engaging online and in-person sales presentations to distributors, shop owners, and technicians.

  • Showcase the value and impact of our diagnostic solutions.

  • Strategic Reporting:

  • Provide oral and written weekly reports to management, highlighting performance against forecasted sales plans, customer needs, challenges, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products.

  • Sales Action Planning:

  • Work closely with the Diagnostics Sales Manager to analyze market potential.

  • Develop monthly sales action plans that align with our growth objectives.

  • Evaluate the value of existing and prospective customers.

  • Product Expertise:

  • Serve as the go-to expert on our diagnostic products and services.

  • Educate Distributors and District Managers, ensuring they have the knowledge needed to drive sales.

  • Market Insights:

  • Stay informed about product applications, technical services, market conditions, and competitive trends.

  • Continuously learn and adapt to stay ahead in the ever-evolving automotive industry.

  • Collaboration Hub:

  • Coordinate sales efforts across departments—marketing, field operations, accounting, supply chain, and technical services.

  • Foster a seamless flow of information to drive success

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent:

  • A solid educational foundation is essential for success in this role.

  • 3-5 Years Channel Sales Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in channel sales, preferably within the automotive industry.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales channels effectively.

  • Sales Experience with Technology, Equipment, or Automotive After-Market (a Plus):

  • Familiarity with technology-driven products or automotive aftermarket solutions is advantageous.

  • Passion for staying informed about industry trends and innovations.

  • Residence in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone:

  • Must reside in one of these time zones to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

  • Remote Work and Travel Flexibility (Up to 50%):

  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining productivity.

  • Willingness to travel as needed for key sales events and customer engagements.

  • Proven History of Driving Results Using Sales Pipeline/Funnel Management:

  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Ability to manage leads, opportunities, and conversions effectively.

  • Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Applications:

  • Comfortable using these tools for reporting, presentations, and data analysis.

  • Experience with CRM Software:

  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Ability to leverage CRM data for strategic decision-making.

  • Demonstrated Aptitude for Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to assess customer needs and provide consultative solutions.

  • Creative problem-solving skills to address unique challenges.

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 with bonus of $20,000+. Your actual salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
