Position Purpose

Administers and put in practice accounting policies and procedures regarding Advertising and Marketing. Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of statistical, operational and accounting information to appraise the operating results in terms of cost, budgets, policies, trends and increased profit possibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Administer and control financial activities generated by Marketing operations . Ensures that processes and registers comply with MEXGAAP/USGAAP accounting and internal audit policies.

Provide financial and accounting advice on potential new operating process to ensure financial viability, adequate recording, tracking and visibility.

  • Develop Marketing and Avertising annual and quarterly operating plans/LEs/targets. Verify compliance and proper alignment of the related areas to operating plan Strategies and tacics, including timely communication of deviations."

  • Perform period close accounting entries and accounting review, accounting reconciliations and Marketing and Advertising P&L and Balance accounts oversight

  • Perform regular and ad-hoc financial analysis of operating details, interpreting and reporting results to VP's and Directors of each area as well as evaluate and analyze projects proposed by functional areas.

  • Ensure all the process are in compliance with US corporate as well as SOX and internal compliance, Prepare and analyze information for internal and external audit purpose.

  • Provide and request support to functional areas (Advertising, FPA, Supply Chain, Inventories, Operations, etc).

  • Benchmark with US to validate policies and procedures, making sure they are applied and adapted to our activities.

  • Register vouchers for Marketing activity

Education & Experience

Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

Area of Study: Accounting

Years of Experience: Five to seven years.

Type of Experience: General accounting

Special Certifications or Technical Skills: CPA, Mexico GAAP experience

Other/Preferred: Intermediate computer skills, advanced knowledge in Excel
