As a Maintenance Supervisor with Trane Technologies, you will use your passion for quality and cost effectiveness in manufacturing to guarantee the highest standard of equipment reliability and performance. This role will work closely with other team leaders to provide resources, on-going work direction, decision making and problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to the customer.

Will also be responsible for achieving safety excellence through promotion of a proactive safety culture, supervision and assignment of maintenance personnel, scheduling preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime, troubleshooting machine break down events, allocating resources and communication with plant management team with uptime expectations.

What you will do:

  • Monitor CMMS to properly manage planned and executed maintenance.

  • Increase equipment effectiveness, reduce expenses, and develop proper root cause analysis for major breakdowns and plan resources according to site strategies.

  • Analize and generate plans to comply with KPI´s goals for down time, preventive maintenance attainment, mean time to repair (MTTR) and mean time between fail (MTBF) among others.

  • Coordinate projects related to modifications, service installation, equipment and machinery.

  • Manage budget and purchases of spare parts and required tools.

  • Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.

  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.

  • Designing and creating new software programs and systems (in languages and systems listed below).

  • Testing and deploying programs and applications.

  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.

  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects.

  • Support creation of technical guidelines, standards and templates.

  • Work with source control tools (DevOps, GitHub).

  • Connect and build pipelines between various data sources.

  • Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT), UNS (Unified Name Space).

What we expect of you:

  • +6 years of related experience.

  • PLC and electrical control literature.

  • Proficiency with multiple computer programming languages (Java, Python, C#).

  • Bachelor's degree in controls, automation, mechatronic, computer science or similar engineering.

  • Microsoft office literate.

  • Knowledge of Project management (Agile and Scrum development methodologies).

  • English intermediate level as a minimum.

  • Experience with databases (including SQL server, Oracle) and different types of data storages.

  • Experience with Industry 4.0 Projects (such as IIoT, Big Data, AI & Machine Learning, Cloud computing, vision systems, Augmented Reality, Digital Twins, Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics, Labeling and Packaging).

  • Good understanding for industrial network technologies, cyber security, and remote connections

  • Experience with developing and deploying software for on-premises and cloud architectures (AWS).

  • Experience working with APIs and API management platforms

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Experience with Labview, Ignition, Kepware, OPC Server or similar solutions.

  • Knowledge of industrial IoT sensor connectivity, data acquisition and data historian software.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in dealing with all levels of organization.

  • Understanding of Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma application and usage.

  • Good interactive skills for facilitating team solutions.

  • Leadership and communication skills.

  • High ethical standards.
