Job Description

  • The Facilities Project Specialist supports the organization by leading the execution and control of projects assigned and assure that the work and documents guarantee the best quality and compliance within the required parameters and standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and control of the assigned projects (focus in facilities: electrical, HVAC, construction, buildings, lighting, compressed air, fire systems, special services, etc.), defined by the Steering Committee (scope, schedule, cost) according to the LPM framework.

  • Ensure to align with all equipment & technology standards, norms and permits; local and LEGO Group standards (such as capacity, duplication, obsolescence, etc.) and to complete them during the implementation process of a project.

  • Responsible to define and build a temporarily organization; identify and solicit the needed resources (material and labor) for the assigned projects to achieve the objectives.

  • Be responsible for the compliance of the best quality, defined characteristics, and accurate functionality of the technology, equipment or project assigned.

  • To validate and supervise the installation process on-site or implementation area and assure the compliance based on blueprints, drawings, design, studies, quality tests, calculation reports, etc.

  • To identify and collaborate with all relevant partners and clients and keep them involved in a detailed way about project progress (e.g. task completion, changes, support required, budget control, etc.) and perform handover to receiving organization.

  • Lead and work with different teams (specialists) within facilities environment (e.g. electricity, chilled water, HVAC, compressed air, fire protection systems; facilities systems, equipment, buildings, among others).

  • To coordinate and supervise contractor and suppliers’ works, making sure the best quality is delivered and according to schedule.

Are you up for the challenge?

  • +3 years of experience in the manufacturing, industrial or facilities area with installations and equipment start-up; in industrial buildings, installation of services (electricity, water, drainage, air conditioning, finishes).

  • Experience in project design development, execution and monitoring of work, interpretation of plans, diagrams, construction plans, as built, project presentation, etc.

  • Experience in work costs, cost reduction, purchasing processes, work budgeting, budget control, estimating.

  • Experience dealing with clients, suppliers and development of processes and procedures related to project management.
