About the role

Fleischmann's Vinegar Company, Inc seeks Process Engineer at its facility located at 444 W. Roosevelt Ave, Montebello, CA 90640.

Key responsibilities

Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain existing equipment, utilities, process control systems and bacterial colony growth and health (10%). Manage process improvement and operator training programs associated with all vinegar production processes (10%). Identify plant safety and environment risks and design safety into processes/equipment (15%). Assist with plant quality and root cause/corrective action on major issues, FMEAs, Capability Analysis, Gage R&Rs, OFAT/DOE, etc. (10%). Trial with Process Science and RD&A (10%). Develop Capital Projects which include Strategy Meetings with Project Engineering, Data Acquisition: Justification Framework & Information, Frequently Updated Debottlenecking Study, Project Meetings, Wave: Owning Initiatives (20%). Responsible for training Maintenance (10%). Guide Documents such as Value Stream Maps, Process Flow Diagrams, Mass Balances, Equipment List (15%).

Qualifications and skills

This position requires a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field plus 3 Years of experience in a Food or Beverage Manufacturing role or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Monitoring and optimizing processes related to plant production and processes; (2) Must have hands on experience of systems and processes that are critical for trainings of plant personnel on technical and non-technical tasks; (3) Assisting in SAP documentation and training; (4) Troubleshooting production process to eliminate production losses due to contamination, equipment malfunction and human error; and (5) Conducting process and equipment risk assessments to optimize engineering design and safety. 25% of domestic travel is required to help support a second site within the geographical area. 25% of domestic travel is required to help support a second site within the geographical area.

RATE OF PAY: $94,349.00 per year.
