The qualified Sr. Accounting Clerk - Store Inventory Control has at least 1 years of retail experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, CA.

The Senior Accounting Clerk - Store Inventory Control is responsible for:

  • Reconciling store inventories and post selected store inventory results.

  • Providing store support for inventory related issues.

  • Performing inventory related journal entries and month-end accruals as needed.

  • Preparing monthly account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Streamlining processes, identify efficiency opportunities where available and make recommendations.

  • Providing assistance with tasks and backup when needed to other accounting crew members.

  • Working collaboratively with other departments.

The Senior Accounting Clerk - Store Inventory Control has:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a retail environment with experience doing General Ledger work preferred.

  • Excellent listening, written, verbal, communications, and interpersonal skills.

  • An eye for detail and staying organized.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • The ability to meet assigned deadlines and work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
