Process Development Chemist - JR2410469

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Process Development Chemist within our Specialty Synthesis Group, you will be responsible developing and optimizing scalable processes on new photochromic products. You will work fully onsite in our R&D facility that is located in the Monroeville. You will report to the Supervisor of S&T Research.

Key Responsibilities * Support the product development team, working collaboratively with analytical chemists, engineers, project managers and other scientists to achieve a successful delivery of the processes for production * You will use modern organic synthetic methods and analytical techniques using HPLC and GC column chromatography * Use your innovative problem solving and creative thinking to improve manufacturing processes, reduce cost, and cycle time.

Qualifications * US Citizen or Permanent Resident * A PhD degree in Organic Chemistry with 0-3 years of process development experience in an industrial setting or an MS degree in Organic chemistry with a minimum of 4-5 years of process development experience in an industrial setting. * Experience with laboratory bench scale experimentations and kilo lab scale-up work. * Experience in working with continuous flow reactors is a plus.
