Job Title: Experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer

Status: Full-time Professional

Annual Salary Range: $108,360 - $173,316

*Salary commensurate with education and experience.

*Job Summary*

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at BPMI, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of advanced manufacturing methods (including but not limited to); additive manufacturing, new production materials, equipment, and technologies to support production. In addition to the development and implementation responsibilities, you will also conduct technical feasibility studies to ensure production capabilities, develop product quality standards to support production, select and manage purchase orders with vendors, ensure products are delivered within approved timelines and budget, and conduct manufacturing research & development to solve problems related to production cost, quality, and supply chain limitations.

*Essential Duties:*

 

 

  • Technical research and development of innovative use cases.
  • Problem resolution as part of integrated engineering teams.
  • Preparation of technical reports and project plans.
  • Development and management of supplier technical scopes of work for proof of concept on investigative efforts.
  • Extensive communications with customer and supplier personnel.
  • Manufacturing Process Engineers also function as industrial base technology experts within the company, providing innovative solutions on a variety of product lines.

*Minimum Job Requirements:*

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical, or applicable technical field such as Materials, Chemistry or Physics, from an accredited college or university.
  • Nine (9) years of experience in manufacturing or product development, with experience in leading process improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.

  • Master's degree or Ph.D in closely related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • A proven track record of effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplined technical and project teams.

BPMI provides design, manufacturing, and supply chain management of the fabrication, testing, delivery, installation, and field support of nuclear power plant components installed in submarines and aircraft carriers.
