Responsibilities

Purpose: Maintain molding machines to meet standards for efficiency and production goals. Master all entry level Associate Process Tech task and responsibilities that are needed to advance to Process Tech 1.

Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Must be trained in, understand, and follow all Berry Safety Absolutes/ Life Saving Behaviors

  • Know and follow all safety rules

  • Know and follow the GMP’s, SQF & HACCP

  • Know where all safety guards are and their purpose

  • Clean and lubricates molds

  • Do PM’s as assigned

  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times. (operator areas, catwalk, walkway, purge area, etc…)

  • Able to complete all required paperwork

  • Able to fill out set up sheets on all molding machines without assistance

  • Know the different material used

  • Know how to do a color change and verify color

  • Able to check cavitation and record areas of improvement

  • Able to navigate and understand training module 1 & 2 HMI screen ask.

  • Check and understand cycle times for 105 eff

  • Respond to Operator alarms

  • Clear parts from under/around machines and inside automation

  • Able to stand 10-11 hrs per shift

  • Perform other duties as directed by Department Manager, Molding Supervisor, Group Lead or other Lead Persons

  • Complete modules 1 & 2 of the Associate Process Tech training packet (Will involve working in the Tooling Department and training with maintenance personnel.)

  • Complete Paulson Mold Setter courses 1-6 or the equivalent online training offered at the time.

  • Pass the written 0-3 month period test

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative

  • Forklift/PIT certified (may be N/A)

  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Crane Operator Training

  • Fall Protection Training

  • Have a good work and attendance record

  • Possess mechanical aptitude

  • Able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary

  • Have good math and computer skills

  • Have a good safety record
