Woof Lodge, a start-up dog daycare and lodging business, is looking for a Business Manager!

The right candidate will have:

  • Management and customer service experience
  • Some basic knowledge of dog behavior
  • Comfort around dogs of all breeds and sizes
  • Microsoft Office experience

Paid on-the-job training for dog behavior and handling will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties will include:

  • Responsible to the daycare owner and Executive Director for the proper functioning of all day-to-day operations. Ensures all staff working in daycare are properly trained and supervised. Ensures the daycare staff understands policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to dogs in daycare. Responsible for ensuring the daycare staff makes proper notes of any problems encountered in daycare, to include dogs who do not eat or drink well, have diarrhea, vomiting, or other problems. Ensures the daily scheduling of naptime, feeding, training, and grooming is properly maintained and ensures the standards of cleanliness are followed by all staff members.
  • Determines the suitability of dogs in daycare. Prepares listing of dog problems concerns and keeps up to date information on all dog concerns. Responsible for updating photographs on comment cards on dogs in daycare as needed. Works with the daycare supervisor to ensure proper daycare forms and databases are maintained. Monitors feeding, playing, training, and grooming of dogs in conjunction with needs of the clients. Meets owners as needed to discuss overall behavior of dogs attending daycare, boarding, training, and grooming.
