Description

There is an immediate opening for an Electrical Assembler on the First Shift in our Assembly Department.

The skills and responsibilities for the position are listed below:

Works from blueprints, work orders and instructions:

  • Reads electrical drawings for product and assembles accordingly.

  • Determines necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.

  • Uses measurement devices such as a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.

  • Uses hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder, saw and air tools to assemble product.

  • Prepares layout for sub assemblies.

  • Troubleshoots own work.

  • Frequently works from an elevated position.

  • Operates a fork truck and all overhead cranes.

  • Enters work order information through terminals in the shop.

  • Follows safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.

  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Uses: Various hand and power tools, measuring devices, fork truck, overhead crane.

    Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.

  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferred.

  • Experience in crane or heavy equipment manufacturing preferred.

  • Ability to understand applicable electrical codes.

  • Work in a factory setting; ability to stand 6-10 hours daily, ability to lift <50lbs frequently. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively within the organization on multiple levels.

  • Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application).
