Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Controller. This person will record daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to GAAP and Sea Fox Boat Company  accounting policies that includes record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits. Assignment of special projects by Controller. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process AR, AP, and work with other departments as needed to resolve issues.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.

  • Prepare monthly journal entries.

  • Assist with external audits.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient in all aspects of accounting to include but not limited to AP, AR, cash management and reconciliations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Education and Experience:

  • Three years or more of related experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.

  • ERP system knowledge is required, preferably with  QuickBooks and Fishbowl.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
