Polaris Healthcare Part-Time Medical Receptionist- Assistant in Mohegan Lake, New York

Job Summary (PART-TIME)

You are an experienced, courteous, empathetic, kind, energetic Medical Receptionist/Assistant who wants to make a difference to all the patients’ peers and providers. We are a busy, multi-location Medical Group, in New York seeking an experienced Medical Reception/Assistant Team Leader that can join in right away.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors in person, by phone and email

  • Assisting with patient registration, patient flow, patient records

  • Verifying billing and insurance eligibility

  • Assist patients during discharge and aftercare

  • EMR, eClinicalWorks a plus

  • Communicate with the business office regarding billing matters

  • Ensure the patient appointments are confirmed

  • Works closely with site Administrators and staff to ensure patient satisfaction

  • Manage and maintain location organized

  • Interact with third party providers, labs and other specialties

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have 3+ yrs as a Medical Receptionist/Assistant in a high volume patient environment

  • Must have experience with eClinicalWorks preferred

  • Experience with multi-tasking

  • Experience in Primary, geriatric and specialty preferred but not necessary

  • Experience with Phlebotomy / Specimen Administration a plus
