Primarily responsible for coordinating the distribution, collection and processing of patient menus for the Dining and Nutrition Service Department. Responsible for accurate collection and recording of data in meeting the patient's nutritional care needs. Is familiar with all types of patients and their diet prescriptions, including, but not limited to the following: geriatric, pediatric, adolescent, cardiac, oncology, diabetic, renal, dysphasic patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.

  • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.

  • One (1) year work experience in a health care setting or successful completion of a minimum 2 year college degree.

  • Must demonstrate excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to complete computer training related to patient services.

  • Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County, including transcontinental travel. If MMC and/or own vehicle used on company business, must possess valid California Driver's License and upon request proof of liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior computer experience.Knowledge of special diets, medical terminology associated with diets, portion control and sanitation procedures. Must demonstrate competency within 90 day probation period.
