Library Systems & Services Project Control Specialist Level II in Mobile, Alabama

LAC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Project Control Specialists to join our team. The Specialists will apply project controls knowledge within the applied project management (PM) system to schedule project development, integration, and implementation. They will be responsible for developing work breakdown structures (WBS), scheduling cost and resource loading, conducting project progression analysis, implementing earned value management techniques, and ensuring data synchronization between Primavera Project Manager and applicable financial databases. Additionally, you will provide Primavera knowledge transfer as needed to designated government personnel. Positions are available for Project Control Specialists levels I, II and III.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply project controls knowledge within the applied project management (PM) system to schedule project development, integration, and implementation.

  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS) to effectively organize project tasks and deliverables.

  • Schedule cost and resource loading to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

  • Conduct project progression analysis, including identification of delays and development of recovery strategies.

  • Implement earned value management techniques to track project performance and cost efficiency.

  • Verify data synchronization between Primavera Project Manager and applicable financial databases.

  • Provide Primavera knowledge transfer to designated government personnel as needed.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Level II:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.

  • 7-10 years of experience in project controls or related field.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL LEVELS

  • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera Project Manager.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
