Mitchell City Transit Operator in MITCHELL, South Dakota

The City of Mitchell is looking for afull-timeindividual to operate a 21 passenger bus within City Limits to provide safe and reliable transportation for youth and adults. Performs pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, reports maintenance and repair needs to supervisor. Ensures compliance with all traffic laws. Provides information to passengers regarding routes, schedules, and services. Completes required paperwork and reports accurately. Operates the computer routing system in the vehicle. Fills fuel tank and performs minor vehicle maintenance to keep the vehicle clean.

$21.39 per hour starting wage with full benefit package including health insurance, dental, life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and participation in the South Dakota Retirement System.

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Class C CDL with passenger endorsement issued by the State of South Dakota.Must be 21 years of age.Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of a high school degree or equivalent.
