Goodwill of the Great Plains Retail Team Leader - Mitchell in Mitchell, South Dakota

We are seeking aRetail Team Leaderto become an important part of our team! You will help provide exemplary experience and atmosphere to every Goodwill customer through outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, inviting, and shoppable store.

Position Type:Full-Time

Wages:$16.37 - $17.18 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Opening and/or closing the store, ensuring store is open during the posted hours of operations; safe, office, and outer doors are locked upon leaving the building; paperwork is done accurately, etc.
  • Oversee store operations in absence of manager and assistant manager and report to them any issues that arise
  • Train and evaluate store employees and/or program participants when applicable
  • May be called upon to correct EBT errors
  • Count down cash drawers
  • Ensure all cash, deposits, and cash drawers are place in safe and that safe door is closed and locked
  • Accept donated items in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner per store guidelines
  • Process donated items to produce inventory for sales floor
  • Follow store procedures for sales floor cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with opening/closing responsibilities preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in use of cash register and affiliated duties (giving correct change, etc.)
