ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Conducts production room inspections and equipment inspections for cleanliness and sanitation according to GMPs using ATP/MVP device* Daily environmental checks of coolers and freezers* Daily calibration checks of scientific scales* Conducts inspections of First Articles of production to assure compliance with standards and specifications as dictated in the Batch Record * Ensure all production Batch Records are completed and accurate at each step of the task performed on the production floor by periodic review* Collects product samples for laboratory testing or for product retained recall inventory* Ensures taste tests and serving size verifications are conducted and documented appropriately* Provides verification of weights and measures for production units * Provides line audits of production tasks to assure consistent and standard out-put of product* Supports the Quality Unit by performing destruction of expired product* Assists the Quality Control Specialist in incoming materials sampling when requested QUALIFICATIONS* Knowledge of regulatory requirements of the FDA, NSF, GMP's and current company SOP's* Knowledge of nutritional product manufacturing practices* Knowledge of sanitation and sterilization processes* Skill in computer operation of spreadsheets, word documents and proprietary software programs* Skill to organize ones time and be efficient in the performance of tasks* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, give constructive and inspiring criticism, provide meaningful feedback* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while prioritizing ones time and being respectful to the time of others Work Schedule is full-time, 1st Shift (4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Thursday, with occasional over-time).
