Relationship Manager

What does a successful Relationship Manager do at Fiserv?

You will contribute to the development, management, and overall strategy of retention for the assigned corporate portfolio. Ensure assigned merchant portfolio of enterprise accounts are managed effectively, with a focus on retention, value upselling, contract negotiation and overall profitability of accounts. The Business Relationship Manager must assure client satisfaction by managing operational relationships for service delivery to ensure the client's requirements are satisfactorily met. The portfolio consists of client relationships valued at over $25M in annual processing with high revenue association to the organization.

What you will do:

  • Develop, implement, and manage programs to cross-sell products and services to RM-assigned clients

  • Sell value by offering the latest in technology and solution and interact with assigned clients as needed to ensure client retention

  • Present to C level executives their ongoing statics on a quarterly basis

  • Work with internal parties to solve client concerns and escalations and negotiate contracts, including pricing and terms, as expiry happens

  • Build rapport and establish strong relationships with client senior management

  • Implement remedial actions when necessary to control and eliminate Fiserv and client liability

  • Establish strong working relationships and breaks down barriers across the company to ensure quality products and services are provided

What you will need to have:

  • At least 6-10 years of experience in Relationship Management, Account Management, Account Executive roles, or something similar

  • Industry experience such as Banking, Credit Card processing/transactions, payment solutions, etc

  • Clear knowledge of industry standards, i.e., credit card processing, transactions, etc., keen understanding of back-office support requirements

  • Working knowledge of Credit Card Association policies and practices

  • Strong relationship building skills, sales experience, business level professional maturity

  • Must have strong collaborative and conflict management skills; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Strong presentation skills to high level executives and a professional demeanor with the ability to problem solve and determine action plan for resolution

  • The ability to articulate, influence, persuade, and convey the sales message

What would be great to have:

  • Knowledge of various software, e.g., Microsoft suite of products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
