Our expectations:

This CO-OP position will be in the Engineering - Control Systems department. The successful candidate will apply systems engineering knowledge to design, develop, test, and support engine control systems for new and/or currently flying P&WC engines.

If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role, we invite you to apply.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Team environment – working closely with a small team of peers on a daily basis, with regular interdisciplinary team meetings with experts across engineering to design and problem solve technical issues

  • Interacting with suppliers and airframers and end customers

  • Designing control system software

  • Testing control software on simulators and in the test cell, and supporting flight testing

  • Investigating field issues

What you need to be successful:

Must haves:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada

  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable

  • Excellent communication skills in English, French is an asset

  • Team player

Assets:

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities

  • Quick learner and adaptable

  • Curious and willing to ask questions
