Our expectations:

The Aerodynamic intern is responsible for validations of a ‘state of art’ CFD code using high speed centrifugal compressor test cases. He/she assumes responsibility for improving prediction accuracy through improved modelling. The intern contributes to aerodynamic department by applying his/her knowledge and skills in the validation and improving prediction capabilities of the centrifugal compressors in the advance aircraft engines. If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the aerodynamic discipline, airfoil design and optimization, we invite you to apply.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Conduct validation test runs.

  • Identify the opportunities for prediction improvements.

  • Study turbulence modelling.

  • Report the key learnings.

What you need to be successful:

Must haves:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada

  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable

  • Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering

  • Excellent communication skills in English(spoken/written). French is an asset.

Assets:

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities

  • CFD knowledge and skills

  • Python
