Kuehne+Nagel Finance Business Partner in Mississauga, Ontario

Your Role

In this role, you will track financial performance and provide information, forecasting and analysis to guide decision making. You will support Distribution Centre manager. Your typical shift will be Monday - Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare Customer invoicing and KPIs accurately and in timely manner

  • Ensure P&Lentries for purchases and spend are made accurately in Customer profitability report

  • Prepare Customer weekly/monthly reports which includes Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring allaccruals and prepayments are in line with the Kuehne +Nagel Ltd. accounting standards

  • Monitor actual spend against budgets for bothCustomer and Kuehne+Nagel Ltd and provide variance analysis includingdetailed explanations and costings;

  • Implementand develop processes, procedures and continuous improvements to ensure alean, controlled working methodology is applied to all financial andoperational administrative tasks and identify and drive cost savinginitiatives;

  • Maintain and ensure costs accuracy and control theadministration of purchases through internal Purchase Control system; evaluate opportunities and prepare business case applications forpurchases of capital expenditure and long term commitments;

  • Design and produce financial tracking tools toassist the operation to ensure budgets are maintained and aid the businesswith implementations, start-ups and capital investments, ensuringfinancial matching principles are adhered to;

  • Attendance at meetings as requested and preparationof reports to review Financial Reporting with clients and internalManagement Team;

  • Increasefinancial awareness at all levels, ensuring adherence to Kuehne + NagelLtd. financial standards and procedures;

  • Preparationof monthly rolling forecasts and annual target setting, ad hoc varianceanalysis;

  • Assist working capital team in monitoring andensuring low AR ageing and optimization of the cash conversion cycle.

  • Assist with purchase ledger queries to ensure theyare resolved in a timely manner.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent with management accounting skills

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting role

  • Experience working in 3PL and freightforwarding industry is preferred

  • Proficient in Word, Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint

  • Exposure to reporting and data visualizationplatforms such as Tableau is an asset.

  • 1+ years of experience with leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous Improvement
