New Era LLC Associate, Graphic Operations (Headwear) in Mississauga, Ontario

New Era’s design team executes creative products developed in line with our development merchandising plans. The team is responsible for the complete design execution process in PLM before sourcing and production of the product. The graphic operations associate will create tech packs and selling tools. As part of the design team, the Graphic Operations Associate is responsible for ensuring all aesthetic design, color, fabrics, logos and trims are translated into sales assets and production ready standards in alignment with our Product Lifecycle Management systems. The role of Associate Graphic Operations is to deliver accurate executions of these standards and support various graphic needs as necessary for our Headwear and Apparel team.

Responsibilities

    • Support graphic needs in relationship to adopted product designs.
    • Assist in the creation of sales assets in accordance with timelines and deadlines.
    • Execute single or mass product tech packs based on design direction.
    • Submit design concepts through the design Approval process – revise artwork when needed according to league/team guidelines.
    • Replicate artwork across all leagues/teams with high-level speed and accuracy.
    • Understand and utilize multiple New Era project tracking and product creation systems.
    • Build artwork guidelines for embroidery file creation.
    • Execute various miscellaneous artwork requests as necessary.
    • Keep all sensitive matters confidential.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Experience with PLM preferred.
    • Understanding of licensed sports league, team and logo rules and guidelines.
    • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
    • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Represent the brand in all actions and decisions.
    • Positive attitude and able to work in fast paced environment.
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Technical Design or Communication Arts.
    • Minimum of 1 year of graphics experience or equivalent combination or education and experience.
    • PLM experience preferred

The salary range for this posted position is $45,000 - $48,000 CAD (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Mississauga, Ontario. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
