Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op

Job Summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our Manufacturing Engineering Group. Primary responsibilities include support developing efficient manufacturing processes such as CNC programming, process documentation, estimating, tool and fixture design, quality control, technical support to internal/external customers and suppliers, and identifying opportunities for improvement in all areas of manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support CNC Programming.

  • Create, modify, and maintain documentation. (setup sheets, tool lists, etc.)

  • Participate in Problem-solving and Root Cause & Corrective Action processes.

  • Work with other personnel to develop part fixturing, process drawings, process routers, tooling requirements, and set-up & cycle time estimates.

  • Research new manufacturing technology.

  • Manage time appropriately and respond quickly to all inquiries to meet production, quality, and delivery schedules.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a focus in Mechanical/Industrial engineering, or manufacturing technology preferred.

  • 2D/3D CAD experience preferred.

  • Machining experience is a plus but not required.
