HireQuest Direct of Minot is looking for highly motivated and safety-conscious Traffic Guards to ensure the safe movement of traffic in and around highway road construction sites. As a Traffic Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a smooth flow of traffic while protecting the safety of construction workers and the general public. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have excellent communication skills, and are committed to upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control the movement of vehicular traffic through construction zones, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including signs, cones, and barricades, according to project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, construction crews, and other personnel using hand signals, radios, or other communication devices.
  • Monitor and adjust traffic flow as needed to minimize congestion and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and protocols.
  • Monitor work zones for potential hazards and report any safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities and incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with construction crews and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.
