CONSTRUCTION LABORER The Construction Laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of project general conditions and subcontractors on the construction site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities vary depending on the scope and magnitude of the project, but may regularly include the following:

  • Assists skilled workers as assigned. This may include jobs such as demolition, carrying building materials, or construction.

``` - Unload building materials that are delivered such as lumber or drywall sheeting and distribute them to appropriate location as identified by supervisor, project plans, or specifications.

``` - Prepare layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.

``` - Prepare tools and materials for skilled workers such as cutting lumber or installing equipment backing.

``` - Clean and prepare specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or organizing building materials.

``` - Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.

``` - Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.

```{=html}

``` - Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

``` - Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.

``` - Performs other related duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to frequently inspect the projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

This position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and travel within the surrounding region based on workload and project location.

Physical Demands:The physical demands laid out are a good representation of those required by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the team member is occasionally required to perform office duties such as sitting at a computer, using listening skills and communicating with team members. The individual is regularly required to work with their hands, including reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team members must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

SKILLSETS WE NEED AT THE TABLE

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of construction experience.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • Insurable driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Location

This position is based in our Minot, ND office; however, travel to project sites is required on n ongoing basis.

Compensation Information

This is a full-time seasonal position with a pay range is $21.00-28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
