Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. The role includes interpreting functional and technical blueprints, maintaining and updating technical drawings and specifications throughout the equipment maintenance process, and inspecting critical equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and designs. The technician performs routine installation or maintenance tasks at sites by following technical drawings and schematics, electrical inspection procedures, and adhering to safety codes and regulations. Additionally, the technician leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation of a department

  • Interpret functional and technical blueprints

  • Maintain and update technical drawings and specifications throughout the equipment maintenance process

  • Inspect critical equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and designs

  • Perform routine installation or maintenance tasks at sites by following technical drawings and schematics, electrical inspection procedures, and safety codes and regulations

  • Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools

  • Follow vendor policies

  • Use data collection modes, techniques, and tools

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and controls systems

  • Experience with schematics and troubleshooting

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and compressors

  • Experience as an Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Technician, with proficiency in PLCs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing optical, pharmaceutical, mechanical, or electrical equipment in an industrial setting

  • Experience working with blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals

  • Preferred: 7 years of experience in the relevant fields

  • 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred

  • Industrial Maintenance Certification

  • OSHA 10 Certification

  • ABO Certificate for Optical Lab

Work Environment

The job may involve moving through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces and working in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.
